Additional information for Producers:
Friday III. group is a weekly session within The New Symposium led by Pia Reš, director of the .abeceda Institute. It is intended for musicians, researchers, and artists working in the musical field who are interested in developing projects, creating opportunities for themselves and for others, and working as producers, artistic directors, and other cultural workers behind the scenes.
Each session is shaped by the concrete ideas and questions of the participants. Through discussion, exchange, and feedback, the group focuses on the practical realisation of projects and on the organisational, artistic, and production-related challenges that emerge in the process.
The weekly format is designed to provide a sustained and supportive environment for development, in which participants can return to their questions over time, reflect on ongoing work, and receive feedback within a shared process. The session is open both to beginners and to participants with prior experience in artistic and cultural production.
The session also offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience by joining the production team of one of the institute’s upcoming projects, including Bled Contemporary Music Week, and gaining reference and first-hand insight into festival production.
Opportunities for practical collaboration in 2026/2027 include precept.concept.percept, enuntiatio.praefatio.formulae, Fact Fiction, .abeceda [New Music Academy], .abeceda [New Music Ensemble], Bled Contemporary Music Week, and Young Researchers Youth Music Camp.
