The New Symposium

 

INTERNATIONAL FORUM AND RESIDENCY PROGRAM

As a participant pedagogue, you will:

 

— Join a residency program for music practitioners, theorists, and researchers.
 

— Present your methodologies and pedagogical practice in weekly online sessions, receiving feedback from peers.
 

— Engage in studies through dialogue with fellow participants, gain new perspectives on pedagogical work in music, and expand your field overview.

 

— Develop your work through practice, experimentation, dialogue, and analysis with fellow participants at Bled Contemporary Music Week.
 

— Attend the festival’s symposia, lectures, and concerts, while building an international network of colleagues.
 

— Publish your work in the online research publication Verso Doxa, issued annually by .abeceda Institute (optional).

 

 

Possible dispositions for beginner pedagogues include themes such as: identifying gaps and addressing students’ individual needs, working with varied groups and levels, teaching through practice and dialogue, selecting themes and references, and constructing courses and lesson plans.

 

Possible dispositions for advanced pedagogues include themes such as: developing teaching approaches based on individual student cases, designing modules, curricula, and evaluation criteria, constructing goal-oriented learning plans, nurturing critical thinking and creativity, teaching through practice and dialogue, and providing the foundational tools needed for different student profiles.
